Case Study 2


1.) Why did the IT group at Royal Caribbean have such poor performance and business status in the company?
Because their employee don't cooperate with each other, and they don't have plan for the future and they have no respect form the business side for I.T.


2.) What are the top three factors in Tom Murphy's turnaround of the IT function at Royal
Caribbean? Explain the reasons for your choices.

First is Communication without it you cannot talk to anyone and communicate in the ship

Second is Respect without it no one will try to listen to you.

Third is time without time you will not be fast on your work and mingle with your coworkers , officials, V.I.P and guest


3.) Visit the website of Royal Caribbean. Evaluate the effectiveness of the website and the services
being offered to attract and serve the travel needs of customers and prospective customers.
What could be improved? Outline the business impact of your idea.

In their virtual tour they must add an virtual information personnel (VIP) so when a customer have a questions on their equipments and function areas in the tour the VIP will answer their question so that they will have satisfied answer on their question and in their future vacation on board the ship.
